Winchester King Arthur Statue

King Alfred was King of the West Saxons from AD 871 - 899. He drove out the Danish invaders from Wessex and built fortified cities of which Winchester is the largest and was his capital. Dates like these are hard to comprehend when the first buildings and monuments in Australia are no older than the late 1700s.
